P. Antici was among the six young Italian researchers that made their mark in U.S. and Canadian research centres and were awarded a prize during a ceremony held on October 18, 2016 at the Italian Embassy in Washington organised by ISSNAF, the foundation of Italian Scientists in North America which has 4,000 members involved in scientific research. P. Antici was awarded with the Annamaria Molteni Award in Mathematics and Physics.

ISSNAF

ISSNAF was founded in 2008 under the auspices of the Italian Embassy to the United States based on the initiative of 36 renowned scientists and academics among which 4 Nobel Prize winners. ISSNAF (Italian Scientists and Scholars of North America Foundation) is a non-profit organisation whose mission is to promote cooperation in the field of science, academia and technology among Italian researchers and scholars who are based in North America and in research world in Italy. With a network of 4,000 members which includes young researchers and scientists, ISSNAF is the greatest representation of the Italian intellectual diaspora in North America and is a bridge that connects the two shores of the Atlantic, allowing the sharing and diffusion of a great intellectual heritage. ISSNAF also collaborated with other organisations and foundations, institutions and government agencies such as the Ministry of Education, University and Research, the Ministry of Health and Foreign Affairs, the Italian Embassy, the Consular network and the Italian Cultural Institutes of the United States and Canada.
