On May 4, the board of the “Fonds de recherche du Quebec – Nature et technologies” has granted ipat-lab with a grant for the project “Laser-based Electron Diffraction for Femtosecond and Sub-atomic scale imaging”. The project, performed jointly with Prof. Piché from the University of Laval (Quebec), foresees to study the production and use of laser-generated electrons for different applications in the material science field. The experimental part is managed by ipat-lab while Prof. Piché is providing theoretical support. The grant amounts to 221513 $ over three years.
